Academic requirement


Graduated from or studying in the final term of Matthayom Suksa 6 (M.6) or equivalent or higher under the following conditions,

  1. 1. For students from an institution in Thailand
    • o Graduated from or currently enrolled in the final term of Matthayom Suksa 6 (M.6) or equivalent in the Thai secondary education system or
    • o Graduated from or currently enrolled in the final year of secondary school (grade 12 in the US system or year 13 in the British system) in an international school in Thailand.
  2. 2. For students who are currently enrolled or have graduated from overseas or GED credential holders, please check the list of secondary education equivalency system in Annex 1


Additional documents


Applicants are required to submit a portfolio that contains the following items:

  • 1) Applicants’ resume highlighting involvement in humanistic or cultural activities such as filmmaking, creative writing, public writing, speech contests, language teaching, cultural development, exchange programs, community empowerment, etc.
  • 2) An essay of no more than 700 words, addressing the following points:
    - Your upbringing: How your growing-up experience has shaped who you are.
    - A societal issue: One problem in the society where you grew up that, in your view, cannot be solved by science and technology alone, but requires a humanistic perspective.

All documents that make up the portfolio should be formatted on A4 papers and saved as PDF.


Admission Tracks




English Proficiency Qualification


  • 1. Native English speakers (Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada (Except Quebec)) are exempt from the requirement.
  • 2. Non-native English speakers must meet their English proficiency requirement based on the chosen program of study. The program-specific minimum scores for Standard English Language Certificates are listed in Annex 2D. Non-native English speakers who do not meet the required standard English proficiency must take the CMU English Placement Test.
