Academic requirement
Graduated from or studying in the final term of Matthayom Suksa 6 (M.6) or equivalent under the following conditions,
- 1. For students from an institution in Thailand
- o Graduated from or currently enrolled in the final term of Matthayom Suksa 6 (M.6) or equivalent in the Thai secondary education system or
- o Graduated from or currently enrolled in the final year of secondary school (grade 12 in the US system or year 13 in the British system) in an international school in Thailand.
- 2. For students from overseas or GED credential holders, please check the list of secondary education equivalency system in Annex 1 Except 6. Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) and 7. Other Vocational School diploma.
Remarks:
- 1. Applicants must review Annex 2A and Annex 2B for specific program requirements on educational level and CGPA.
- 2. Applicants who are “currently enrolled" must provide the official transcript and graduation certificate on the day of new student registration. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
Additional documents
Applicants are required to submit the following additional documents:
1) A personal portfolio
Applicants must submit a digital portfolio. The portfolio should be a single PDF files ranging from 15 - 30 pages. The file size must not exceed 16 MB. The portfolio has no standard in terms of format, page size, layout design and contents. The format of the portfolio is therefore a subject to be designed by the applicants. It should present the applicant's personality in relation to talents, experiences, interests, skills, ideas and creativity. The portfolio should include a selection of the applicant's works ranging from design, art, craft and other creative works/projects such as writings, performances, poems, photographs, choreography, films, etc.
2) Statement of Purpose
Statement of Purpose (SOP) should be a single PDF file and in A4 paper size. The file size must not exceed 1 MB. Its contents should be state applicant interests, ambitions, capabilities and goals.
3) Reference Letter
Applicants need to submit a reference letter. The letter should be a single PDF file and in A4 paper size. The file size must not exceed 1 MB. The letter should be written by a person who can certify the applicant's portfolio and work as well as applicant ability, talents, and developments. This person could be applicant's teachers or guidance counselors.
Remark
To qualify for successful applicants, need to pass 60% of average score of the following requirements: GPA 15%, English test score 20%, Statement of purpose and Reference letters 5%, Portfolio 35% and Interview 25%. The number of accepted students for each round will be made based on the discretion of the admissions committee.Admission Tracks
Regular Track
Applicants who do not meet the English proficiency requirements and do not have all required standard tests must choose “regular track” and take subject tests (CMU exam) and/or CMU-English Placement Test depending on the applied program.

Special Track
Applicants who meet the English proficiency requirements and have all required standard tests may choose the “Special Track” and must submit standardized tests in specific subjects and evidence of English Proficiency required by the applied program.

English Proficiency Qualification
- 1. Native English speakers (Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada (Except Quebec)) are exempt from the requirement.
- 2. Non-native English speakers
- 2.1 Exemption from the requirement under the following conditions:
- 1. who are from a country where English is an official language listed in Annex 2C.
- 2. who have completed an international program or graduated from an institution where English is the language of instruction.
- 2.2 No exemption must meet their English proficiency requirement based on the chosen program of study. The program-specific minimum scores for Standard English Language Certificates are listed in Annex 2D. Non-native English speakers who do not meet the required standard English proficiency must take the CMU English Placement Test.
